ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
After mastering various forms of martial arts in her youth in the US and in Japan, Kini Collins developed the self-discipline, patience and drive that now feeds her art. Originally working as a freelance writer and editor, she began drawing to improve her observational skills. She took art classes, read and looked voraciously, and over twenty years has established herself in the Baltimore art scene, with gallery representation locally and nationally. Along with her art career, she chooses work that is meaningful to her and contributes to the community in which she lives. She is a trustee for The Creative Alliance.
